In the morning we woke up with no appetite at all so we skipped breakfast and went for as swim around the island.
“Hey you guys” I said “it’s our last day on the island, we’re going home tomorrow” I said excitedly “I don’t feel very well and I really need a decent shower and some new clothes” Micaela started moaning.
“Hey” Jayme said a smile lighting her face” why don’t we go home today” “Yes” Micaela and I screamed in excitement “In fact” Jayme said “Let’s go right now” “Yes let’s” Micaela said.
“First we needed to have a look around the island quickly just one last time” I said as I started walking. We started walking west we saw the birdlife e and all the trees and the flowers and we took in everything we saw.
As we reached the spaceship we got in and started belting up, I was driving “Ready” I asked Jayme and Micaela “Yes” The replied. So we started flying up and up and up. After a while we reached the force field thing again and everything went black but luckily this time we had safety belts on but it was still as scary as ever.
Suddenly we came out of the force field and started going down, a few minutes later we splashed into the water about a meter off the sand.
“I looked up to see all our parents waiting for us. Somehow we had lost a day. I stood up and ran towards my parents to give them a hug. Jayme and Micaela did the same.
“Mum, Dad” We all said embracing them in a giant hug “You’ll never guess what happened”....

Day 12
We woke up on the beach to the smell of cooked eel.
Micaela had made breakfast this morning and it smelled delicious. “Thanks Micaela” I said as she divided the eel “let’s climb the mountain today” I said. Both Jayme and Micaela agreed to that.
After breakfast we packed up our stuff and flew to the foot of the biggest mountain, we had a nice easy stroll and stopped often to admire the views, by the time we had finished it was 8.00 and it was starting to get dark so we headed back to the beach and relaxed until it got dark.
“Let’s play spotlight” I suggested drawing my torch” lets” the other two agreed drawing their torches as well.
We played spotlight for an hour around the beach up and down the mountain and through the water we played until Jayme fell over and grazed her knee.
After patching up her knee we set up our tent and went to sleep.

Day 11
“Guys” Jayme said as she gently shook me awake “guys” she repeated. “Why did you have to wake me up” I asked her groggily. “Because it is 10.00 in the morning she explained “and I cooked breakfast and its going cold”.
“So” Micaela said “what do you want to do today”, “nothing” I replied. “Let’s just spend the day on the beach”
So after breakfast we headed down to the southern beach and played there for the day, we had water fights and we just sunbathed but it was one of the best days so far. Later when we got bored we went back to the center of the island and cooked some eel.
That night when we were lying in bed we talked about our theories of the island. “The bird life I’ve seen is the bird life of at least 3000 years ago “I said. “There’s aliens, this island is completely sustainable and is no way a harm to the world” Micaela exclaimed” “and remember that force field thing we went through on the way here” Jayme said. “I think we’ve passed through an invisible force field into this sustainable island dome” I said “Being protected by aliens” Micaela pointed out ”Yes” Jayme agreed “But I think there is more” we all nodded. “We better get some sleep” Micaela said sleepily. ”G’night” We all said to each other.
“So” Micaela said “what do you want to do today”, “nothing” I replied. “Let’s just spend the day on the beach”

After breakfast we had a conversation about what to do today “I’m going for a swim” I informed Jayme and Micaela. “We’ll join you” they both said enthusiastically.
“Lets go to the big island and take a walk” Micaela suggested “Yea” I agreed getting up of the sand. We got all our bags ready and swam over to the larger island and started walking to the west.
On our hike we saw beautiful birdlife and even a few moa through the trees, we saw rare trees gorgeous flowers and bushes we even saw a few groups collecting wood in the forests.
After our walk we swam back to the little island and lay down on the beach: I’m gonna have a nap” Jayme said “Me too” Micaela agreed “Me three” I added. We all lay down and started chatting. “That was a really beautiful walk” Micaela said “Yes, and there was some really rare birds” I added “And the trees they were really interesting” Jayme added as we all fell asleep.

I woke up and looked into our eel bag to find nothing “wake up “ I called to Jayme and Micaela “We have to go back to the stream” I said to them waking them up. “Let’s go get some more eel” Jayme said.
So we swam over to the big island and found the stream and all collected one eel each “Mine’s the biggest” Jayme teased Micaela “no mine is” she replied as we swam back over to the little island.
We started cutting up the eel “Mine’s the biggest” I said starting the whole charade again.
After that we went for a play on the beach, we did some swimming and we did some cloud watching. When it reached 7.00 we got up v”Il When we woke up it was still dark but it appeared to be quite late in the morning something spooky was going just then I saw the clouds roll in and then stop abruptly W hat was happening.
“So what do you want to do today” I asked Micaela and Jayme as I put some eel into the gas burner. “well I want to see why the clouds were doing that” Jayme said, “Yes” Micaela agreed maybe we are trapped in some kind of force field” Micaela said laughing “Maybe” I said all serious.” We should try and fly and see how far we get” “Maybe that will prove your theory” Jayme said to Micaela.”
So after breakfast we hopped into our spaceship and started flying east we flew for about a k and then got pushed backwards. “I looked out the window but there was nothing there so we tried flying again but we just kept bouncing back. “We are trapped in a force field” I said. “I wonder if we could stick our heads through it” Micaela said.
So I tied some rope around my waist and handed the other end to Jayme “hold on tight” I ordered her as I stuck my head out. Surprisingly I eased through easily the world out there was all polluted all the trees were rotting, (the few that were there) and there was litter everywhere all the water was black with oil it was disgusting I could hardly breath. So I pulled my head back through. I t was good to have fresh air again.
Micaela and Jayme then had their turns they were disgusted as well. “Thank goodness we are in this bubble” Micaela said, Jayme and I nodded our heads in agreement. I glanced at my watch it was already 5.00 at night.
“Let’s go back and have a swim” I suggested To Jayme and Micaela. We hopped back into our spaceship and flew over to our beach. We went for as swim in our nice clean blue water and then dined on eel. Then we set up our beds in our tent and went to sleep for the night. “Ill cook” Micaela offered, Jayme and I nodded in a agreement, Micaela cooked dinner and we all settled down and went too sleep.

That morning we woke to find ourselves human again. “So what do you want to do today?”Micaela asked lets go search for a cure to mutantness” I said. “Yeah” agreed Dilshen “It isn’t really my cup of tea”. “Where should we start looking” Micaela said “maybe the radioactive lake” Jayme suggested with a questioning tome in her voice “Yes” we all screamed in delight “let’s go”.
So we all hopped in the spaceship and flew over to the radioactive lake “Right who’s going to jump first” I asked. Everyone was looking at me “Fine” I said as I tied a piece of rope to my waist and the other end to the handlebar of the spaceship and jumped into the lake. The water was a strange misty bubble gum pink color but I continued swimming anyway.
Soon after I heard three more splashes, Jayme, Micaela and Dilshen had all followed me. I glanced towards the bottom there was a strange looking alien in the bottom. So I swam down towards it when I reached the bottom it turned out there was no alien there. I stopped swimming and looked around I had just realized that I could breath and I had been under at least 20 minutes. “What happened to me” I thought to myself, I must be some kind of mutant. But I put that thought aside and continued swimming downwards there was some kind of vile in the bottom .
There was a glowing liquid in it “I must reach it” I thought as I stuck out my hand and grabbed the bottle. I felt a strange tingling sensation running through my body and r4eliased I was floating towards the surface.
When I reached the surface I looked up and saw the three others staring at me expectantly. “I found something” I said passing them the bottle. “Who’s gonna try it first” Dilshen said as I noticed they were all mutants as well.
“She found it” Micaela said thrusting the bottle into my hands, “OK” I said taking a gulp of the strange formula “I started shaking and then stopped abruptly and I looked down, I was human!!!!
I passed the liquid to Jayme the same thing started happening again and again.
“lets head back to the beach” Jayme said, I glanced to my watch it was already 6.00 PM. “That took along time” I said.
We got into our spaceship and headed back to our island. We cooked up some eel and had a little chat. “Tomorrow can I go back to my group” Dilshen asked, we all nodded sleepily and then fell asleep on the sand.
So we all hopped in the spaceship and flew over to the radioactive lake “Right who’s going to jump first” I asked.
